Should a Connected Switchgear product fail as a result of our manufacturing process, you are compensated for your time and expense in addition to the product replacement.

Switches and Socket Outlets
Unlike our competitors, we are not prepared to sacrifice the quality of our products to offer cheap prices. Our switches and socket outlets are made from high quality polycarbonate, not cheap nylon or ABS. Our polycarbonate is UV stable and will not fade when exposed to light.
Our terminal screws are not plated steel imitating brass, they are solid brass and will not corrode over time like cheaper alternatives. Our switch contacts are made from a high percentage of brass and silver, which prevents the contact arcing that shortens the life of a switch mechanism.

Circuit Protection
How can you tell whether your 6kA miniature circuit breaker is a genuine 6kA?
Competition always puts downward pressure on price and quality, and as a result many companies resort to overrating: stamping a product with a higher rating than it actually holds. Some importers are not even aware their manufacturers have overrated a product they are supplying.
A customer may buy a miniature circuit breaker stamped 6000A that is in fact rated at 4500A. Most buyers are not aware of the subtle differences between ratings, and rely on the integrity of the seller. The seller can then afford to sell it cheaper, simply because they bought it cheaper, because it is not correctly rated.
Connected Switchgear does not play those games. We refuse to be pushed into offering sub-rated products just because our competitors do it to hit a lower price. If you can buy a cheap 6kA circuit breaker, chances are it is not really 6kA, or not approved.

Load Centres
Load centres may not be declared articles under the Electrical Safety Provisions Act, but the performance and standard of a load centre is certainly covered by the Australian wiring rules, AS/NZS 3000. That makes the electrical contractor responsible for installing products that comply.
Connected Switchgear enclosures are not the cheapest on the market, because they are not the cheapest quality. They do comply with the Australian Standards wiring rules.
All our enclosures are made from high grade polycarbonate that is UV stable, with rated temperatures up to 720 degrees, so they will not fade or yellow with age. Our neutral links and connecting links are rated at a genuine 165 amps, and our 12 and 18 pole enclosures have four neutral links, allowing more flexibility in wiring. Our flush mount enclosures have an optional metal base.
Ask your current supplier what their products are made from. You may be surprised to learn they do not know.
